Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
